How to run a personal server?

Good night ... I wonder how do I open a local server that already has server to play because I loved this mod XLR, a pity not to have a server .... help me ... what program to open I have to have a server here?

For a very simple server (without any hooks or restarts) all you have to do is start the FLServer.exe found in your EXE folder, that should work fine.

The next version will come with the 1.6.7 hook files integrated, that will allow for much more fun

Well, the X-L-R Universe is quite dark, but I'll be bugging Xar soon about lighting it up a little bit so we actually can see anything.

There's another way to brighten it up.. look in the EXE file for the enbseries.ini

scroll down a bit till you see

negative (-) means light.. so 0 and above will be real dark under 0 (-) illuminates -12 would be twice as dark as -24.. choose whats best for your eyes & screen really.. everyone's different

This entire file is the control file for the ENB.. play with it all you want.. that's why you were provided with it as an addon.. to quickly reset with the original if you go to far with your custom setting & not everyone can run the ENB (certain chipsets hate it)

also raise your gamma to about 0.50.. I only just darkened the mod.. so some places will indeed be a bit too dark, most light now only comes from the sun in a system.. as that makes it way more believable and really sets off the SSAO & shadowing.. if your behind a big planet or station that's blocking the sun.. i feel it should be dark.. hehe.. that's why you have navlights.

It should automatically send a request to the fllistserver about adding it there, and fllistserver should automatically show you there as long as port 2300-2302 is open in the router. You can enable online server by checking "Make your server internet accessible".

Personally, I don't believe the mod is by far ready to go online. I'll let the decision of letting you host online over to Xar however.

It's not "ready".. but still very playable.. especially if you just want to PvP and kill things.. All i ask is that you name it XLR2-Alphatest or similar.. so ppl don't think its done and i haven't told them (lol)

So that's a yes.. you have my permission.. just don't cry about balance okis
That don't mean don't tell me if you find a large hole in the Balance.. just overall between Fighter type & Large type... I know the Large types need work.. and so do a few fighters.

Ahh, its XLR-Server; not XLR-server.

Hamachi is case sensitive FYI.

Oki.. i need a few questions answered..

1. hows the MP starting cash.. want me to raise it.. based on your adventures.. what to?
2. has there been any major problems?

I just kicked a ton of errors too.. most were made in the past few days by playing with jumpgates/shields.. me mostly (lolz) some were from before.. but overall.. it's cleaner.. and should give less warnings.. yellow warnings can be fully ignored.. i need to see any red ones though.. but not untill you've loaded the new version.. which will be on way as soon as i get the missing pieces i need

Unless Wolfie and I go on a massive coding spree like never seen before.. this *should* be the last version for about a month... I don't think you'll need a player wipe, but if its needed i can help you with the admin commands (if not sure) and we'll get everyone back to were they were easy enough.

Oops, hehe. Alright, there was one problem, can't create characters with any name as the game says the character name was taken. AFAIK this is only caused by different files, or its caused by not receiving character creation packets.
